A scuffle broke out during the Election Commission's (EC's) hearings on objections and appeals centring the proposed constituency boundaries for the 2026 parliamentary election on Sunday afternoon.
Footage from Channel 24's Facebook page shows a section of people in the audience pushing each other, and at one stage, a man fell to the ground to the right of the stage at the EC Bhaban auditorium.
The video was uploaded around 2:00pm.
It also shows the election commissioners asking for calm.
According to a Channel 24 report, the scuffle broke out over the proposed boundaries of Brahmanbaria-2 and Brahmanbaria-3.
The scuffle broke out during the first day of the hearings, which started around noon, with Chief Election Commissioner AMM Nasir Uddin and four election commissioners conducting the hearing.
The first day of the hearing is on eighteen constituencies of Cumilla.
