National Citizen's Party Joint Convener Sarwar Tusher resumed his duties following a two-month suspension.
The party suspended him after Neela Israfil, a member of the now-defunct Jatiya Nagorik Committee, accused Tusher of sexual harassment.
The NCP on 17 June issued a show-cause letter, asking Tusher to explain his conduct and suspended him from the party for two months.
The party on Saturday issued a press release, withdrawing the restrictions imposed on Tusher.
It said Tusher replied to the show-cause notice and explained his conduct. The NCP observed the matter closely in the interest of justice and sensitivity towards women.
The press release also said "the incident" of which Neela accused him was "entirely a matter of personal communication".
Tusher refrained from joining party activities for two months and even stayed away from the events held in July, it added.
The allegations
In June, Neela accused Tusher of making inappropriate sexual comments.
Tusher said he was only human, not free of flaws and had been the subject of a media trial. He said a private phone conversation had been leaked to damage the NCP's reputation. He claimed that only a part of the communication was being talked about.
