If the government or any political party refuses to give the July Declaration and Charter before August 3, the NCP, along with students and mass people, will take to the streets, said National Citizen Party (NCP) Convener Nahid Islam.
Speaking at the July March rally in Magura on Thursday, he said, "We are travelling to every district across the country. Following the July uprising, the struggle to rebuild a new Bangladesh has officially begun. To reconstruct the new Bangladesh, we must ensure justice for those involved in fascism, initiate structural reforms and draft a new constitution."
Emphasising the need for Bangladesh-centric politics that stands against foreign dominance and aggression, he said, "Even after the mass uprising, many crises persist in Bangladesh. We are unable to work peacefully."
The parade of NCP had reached Magura shortly after 1 pm on Thursday, starting its journey from Jhenaidah.
Locals welcomed the rally with flowers at the Magura's Bhayna intersection.
From there, the NCP march started and paraded through various streets of the city and concluded again at Bhayna intersection.
At the event, Nahid, also the convener of the NCP, highlighted that around ten people from Magura became martyrs during the July movement.
"It is your duty to uphold the honour of your children's sacrifice. Our fight against extortionists, and corrupt people is a part of rebuilding Bangladesh."
"We are on the streets, and the NCP will soon expand its organisational presence in Magura. Together, we aim to build a corruption and crime-free Magura, and to achieve that no one should be spared, regardless of their affiliation," he added.
The NCP convener invited everyone to gather at the National Shaheed Minar.
He concluded the event by assuring that the NCP will remain committed to solving all local issues of Magura, and will continue working for reform and justice.
