Bangladesh Gonotantrik Chhatra Sangsad panel's Vice President (VP) candidate Abdul Qader has accused the Dhaka University proctor and assistant proctors of being affiliated with Jamaat-e-Islami politics.
Speaking at a press conference in front of the DUCSU building on Tuesday around 8:00pm, Kader also alleged partisan behaviour by the university administration during the election.
He alleged Shadik Kayem, the VP candidate supported by the Islami Chhatra Shibir panel, had done some manipulation inside a polling centre, while the Chhatra Dal did the same from outside.
Criticising the election commission as divided and biased, he alleged the administration had engaged in power-sharing politics, distributing positions based on party affiliation rather than students' interests.
He demanded an unconditional apology from the university administration and promised to consult students before taking further action.
