Even as the welcome sight of Jordan and the United Arab Emirates airdropping supplies into Gaza won praise, Israel continued its attack in the area, leaving 53 killed, Al Jazeera reports.
The aid was much awaited – and demanded – especially as images of starving Palestinians shocked the world.
Israel, while giving lip service to calls for "tactical pauses" in fighting for "humanitarian purposes" from 10am to 8pm on Sunday, continued to attack.
Meanwhile, six more Palestinians died of starvation, Al Jazeera reports.
The USA – arms supplier and donor of Israel – at the same time continued its unwavering support for its long-standing ally.
US diplomat to Israel Mike Huckabee slated organisations such as the UN, The New York Times, and Hamas for using "lies and propaganda" to discredit the GHF and sow chaos in Gaza.
His criticism came after experts and international organisations blamed Israel for the growing famine and disruption in Gaza.
"Is the UN, NY Times, and Hamas all happy now?" Huckabee, a longtime Israel supporter and evangelical minister, said in response to a video of hungry people in Gaza climbing onto a truck bringing aid into the Gaza Strip.
"I'm sure Hamas is. Their lies and propaganda destroyed the cease-fire deal, tried to discredit safe and functioning GHF effort, emboldened Hamas and will result in this complete balagan [chaos]! Most sad for hostage families-grief prolonged."
Israel also accused Hamas of stealing aid for its own profit, a claim which was instantly discredited.
UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees chief Philippe Lazzarini said claims that Hamas has been stealing large quantities of aid were part of a wider campaign by Israel to box out humanitarian organisations like the UNRWA and seize greater control over aid distribution.
"No proof of aid diversion in Gaza," he said in a social media post.
