BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman expressed deep sorrow over the tragic aircraft crash at Milestone College.
"We are heartbroken by the tragic aircraft crash at Milestone College. No student should face such horror in institutions meant to facilitate their learning, growth, and well-being," he said on a post on his verified Facebook page.
"My earnest prayers are with the shaken young souls, and I call upon leaders, activists, and members of the BNP to stand by the affected. Together, as a united nation, we must tackle this situation."
Tarique Rahman also said the leaders and activists of the Chhatra Dal, Jubo Dal and Swechchhasebak Dal have been instructed to contact the blood bank at the Burn and Plastic Surgery Institute to donate blood.
BNP General Secretary Mirza Fakhrul, in a statement on his verified Facebook page, requested the public to free the roads and not pose any obstacles to rescue operations.
"Make room on the road to take the children to the hospital. Move your car to one side — help save the children," he wrote.
