In a statement posted on its verified Facebook page, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami called for "all-out cooperation" from its leaders and activists "to participate in the rescue operation and provide all-out support in the treatment of the injured".
"May Allah have mercy on the deceased, forgive them and grant each of them the status of martyrdom and the highest position in paradise. May Allah grant the injured a speedy full recovery and shower them with his immense blessings," the statement added.
