Home Adviser Lieutenant General (Retd) Jahangir Alam Chowdhury on Saturday said the measures will be taken as per the recommendations of the committee formed to probe the Gopalganj incident, reports BSS.
"A high-powered committee was formed in this connection. The committee will find out who is responsible for that. Measures will be taken as per the recommendations of the committee," he said.
The home adviser was speaking to journalists after visiting the third terminal of the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, Dhaka.
Replying to a question about the postmortem of the people who died in the Gopalganj incident, Jahangir said the postmortem of a man who died later in Dhaka is being conducted, while the bodies of others were taken away earlier.
"So, how can their postmortem be done? If necessary, postmortem of others will be conducted. In case of necessity, postmortem can be done after exhuming bodies from the graves," he said.
The home adviser said he visited the third terminal to assess how much manpower will be required to efficiently operate it to make the passengers' services hassle-free.
