The Bangladesh Embassy in Kathmandu has stepped in to assist Biman Bangladesh Airlines passengers stranded in Nepal following flight disruptions on the Kathmandu–Dhaka route.
According to the embassy, nearly 100 Bangladeshi nationals, including government officials and football players on official visits, remain stuck in Kathmandu. The exact number of tourists who had travelled independently or for private purposes has yet to be determined.
The embassy said its hotlines have already received more than 350 inquiries from stranded Bangladeshis. Most callers are seeking clarity on flight delays, schedule changes, and possible rescheduling. Current estimates suggest that around 500 Bangladeshi passengers of Biman are still in Nepal.
Officials noted that Biman will adjust its operations based on the evolving security situation and in accordance with directives from Nepal's Civil Aviation Authority.
