The government has formed an eight-member committee to review the legitimacy of professional demands raised by BSc degree holders and diploma engineers working in the engineering sector.
The decision was announced on Wednesday through a notification issued by the Cabinet Division with immediate effect.
Muhammad Fouzul Kabir Khan, adviser to the Ministry of Power, Energy, and Mineral Resources, will chair the committee.
The committee will evaluate the justification of professional demands made by BSc and diploma engineers and submit a report along with its recommendations. The committee has been instructed to submit its report within one month, the notification reads.
The Ministry of Public Administration will provide necessary secretarial support for the committee's activities.
The committee has the authority to co-opt additional members if required.
