"The Bay of Bengal is very important for Bangladesh's national economy, security and environmental balance. As per the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS), the activities of the Hydrographic Department are very important to determine the country's oceanic shelf and developing blue economy, he said.
