On the occasion of the World Photography Day, Ashraful Alam, photo editor at Dhaka Stream, talks about the importance of photography and some of the pioneers in the field whose bodies of work are deeply tied to the country's history.
"I believe the camera is a tool that has a transformative power," he says.
