Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus started a meeting with leaders of BNP, Jamaat, NCP and Islami Andolan Bangladesh at the State Guest House Jamuna around 9:00pm on Monday.
News of the meeting was communicated through a press note from the Chief Adviser's Press Wing.
According to the press wing, among those attending the meeting are: BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and standing committee member Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury; Nayeb-e-Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Abdullah Mohammad Taher and Assistant Secretary General Hamidur Rahman Azad; National Citizens' Party Convener Nahid Islam and Member Secretary Akhtar Hossain; and Islami Andolon Bangladesh Presidium Member Professor Ashraf Ali Akon and Joint Secretary General Gazi Ataur Rahman.

While the reason behind the meeting could not be ascertained, it is believed the current national situation will be discussed, sources within the parties told Dhaka Stream.
On Monday, a Bangladesh Air Force jet crashed into Milestone School and College in Dhaka's Diabari, leaving at least 31 people, mostly children, dead and scores others injured. Protests have broken out near Milestone and the Secretariat. Interim government advisers who had visited the school on Tuesday afternoon were confined there for some time.
