In the past 24 hours, at least 72 people have been killed and over 200 injured in Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip, according to reports from hospitals in the region confirmed by Qatar-based news outlet Al Jazeera.
Since the beginning of the ongoing Israeli offensive, more than 56,000 Palestinians have reportedly lost their lives.
Gaza's Government Media Office stated that in the past four weeks alone, at least 549 Palestinians have been killed while attempting to collect humanitarian aid.
During the same period, 4,066 others have been injured—most of them were near aid distribution points operated by the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, which is supported by the United States and Israel.
According to the Gaza Health Ministry, the total death toll since the start of the war has reached at least 56,259, with 132,458 people injured.
On the other hand, the October 7 attack on Israel resulted in approximately 1,139 deaths, with more than 200 people taken hostage.
