Dhaka University VP-elect Shadik Kayem has said he will go forward with all students regardless of political affiliations.
"The expectations of the students are our expectations," he told reporters after DUCSU polls results were announced at the Senate Bhaban on campus.
He also commented that the July uprising began at the University of Dhaka and that the dreams of a future Bangladesh will emerge from there.
General secretary-elect SM Farhad said the trust of all students has now been placed upon him and his fellow winners.
Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir President Jahidul Islam wrote on his verified Facebook page that Shibir would not hold a victory procession.
