Abrar Faiyaz, brother of the martyred Abrar Fahad and a participant in the ongoing movement of Engineering students across the country, has accused the police of attacking the peaceful procession.
In an interview with Stream, he described how police officers attacked the student during the Shahbag blockade on Wednesday.
He said that students were peacefully protesting near the Hotel Intercontinental when the police attacked them suddenly.
"Police came from behind and started attacking the students. An officer, maybe ADC Masud, grabbed the students by the neck. Then the police started kicking the students. The students, who hadn't crossed the barricade, were also attacked."
Faiyaz also siad that police allegedly used stun grenades to attack the students near the State Guest House Jamuna, which is currently being used as the temporary residence and the office of Chief Advisor Muhammad Yunus.
