BNP's Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman on Tuesday said the era of conventional slogan-based politics is over.
"The aspirations of the people have changed. To fulfil these aspirations, promises need to be materialised. We are now working on plans for how to make promises a reality," Tarique said while addressing an event virtually marking International Youth Day at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Centre in Agargaon, Dhaka.
He also said, "After one and a half decades, the national election will be held next February in a fascist-free Bangladesh. I urge people from all walks of life to vote for the paddy sheaf."
"Give us the opportunity to build the nation. We will build the country together."
Meanwhile, he highlighted various plans of the BNP for the youth.
He said that if the younger generation lags behind in acquiring technological knowledge, it will not be possible for them to contribute to the state.
"Entering the technology market requires skills, and acquiring those skills is the real challenge. One of the prime objectives of the young generation should be to become humane individuals while gaining scientific and technical expertise," he added.
The event was organised by Jatiyatabadi Jubo Dal, Swechchhasebak Dal, and Chhatra Dal.
