July 11 marked the birth anniversary of Al Mahmud, who was born in 1936 in the village of Moraail, Brahmanbaria.
Though he bade farewell with "I shall not return", this poet remains eternally relevant, reappearing in the rhythms of our daily lives, our loves, and our struggles.
