Calling Ahmed Sofa the "Prometheus of Bengal" would not be an exaggeration. Like Prometheus irrevocably changed the world by introducing fire to humanity, Sofa repeatedly sought to break the stagnation of society and light the torch of intellect.
He has written bitter truths about society in various books, from "The Mind of a Bengali Muslim" to "Gabhi Bittanta".
He was born on June 30, 1943, in the village of Gachbaria in Chandanaishe, Chittagong. Dhaka Stream looks back at the life of this literary giant.
