The council of advisers of the interim government has decided to celebrate July Shaheed Day on July 16 and Mass Uprising Day on August 5, reports UNB.
The decision was taken at the advisers' council meeting at the chief adviser's office in Dhaka's Tejgaon on Sunday.
The chief adviser presided over the meeting.
In another development, Chief Adviser's Press Secretary Shafiqul Islam, in his Facebook post, said there will be no special celebration on August 8.
Earlier, the government announced August 5 as the July Uprising Day and August 8 as New Bangladesh Day.
August 8 marks the day when the interim government was formed, following the overthrow of the previous government amid a mass student-led uprising.
