The Chief Adviser's Press Wing has refuted allegations that the government is concealing the number of casualties from the training aircraft crash at Milestone School and College in Uttara, calling the claims "false propaganda."
"We are observing with concern that certain groups are spreading false propaganda, claiming that casualty figures are being concealed. We strongly affirm that this is not true," reads the press release issued on Tuesday morning.
Authorities are currently working to verify and document the names and identities of all those who died in the crash.
DNA testing is being conducted on bodies that remain unidentified.
Several hospitals in Dhaka have been instructed to provide the best possible care for those injured.
The release further emphasised that the government, in coordination with the military administration, school authorities, and hospital officials, is working jointly to prepare and publish a complete list of the deceased and injured.
People are asked to contact the school authority if anyone is missing following the tragic incident.
A control room is also being set up to assist, and officials are cross-checking school registries and other relevant records to ensure that all individuals are accounted for.
