Eight people were killed when a wall collapsed near Mohan Baba Mandir in Harinagar, Jaitapur of Delhi, amid heavy rains on Saturday morning, officials said, reports The Hindu.
After receiving a call about the incident around 9.16am on Saturday morning, three fire units rushed to the spot along with police teams, the Delhi Fire Service said.
The exact cause of the collapse is yet to be ascertained, it added.
Delhi was lashed by heavy rain overnight, and the India Meteorological Department issued a red alert for the day. The downpour began late around 11pm on Friday (August 8, 2025), lashing multiple parts of Delhi-NCR.
