Remittance inflow surged by 46.2 per cent year-on-year, reaching $1,054 million in the first 12 days of August, according to the latest data of Bangladesh Bank (BB) issued on Wednesday.
During the same period last year, the country's remittance inflow was $721 million.
During the July 2025-12 August, 2025 of the current fiscal year, expatriates sent remittances of $3,532 million, which was only $2,635 million during the same period of the previous fiscal year.
