The interim government on Monday extended the tenure of the National Consensus Commission again by one month, till 15 October.
A notification was issued in this regard signed by Cabinet Secretary Sheikh Abdur Rashid.
On 12 February this year, the government formed a seven-member commission and was given six months to review and adopt recommendations from six reform commissions.
The commission officially started work on 15 February, and its original tenure was set to expire on 15 August. Since the commission's work was not completed, the government extended the term until 15 September.
