Police have arrested three staffers of Flight Expert following allegations that its Managing Director Salman Bin Rashid had fled the country swindling customers out of crores of taka.
Last night, a customer named Bikash Sarker filed a case with Motijheel Police Station, accusing Salman and four others.
Police today arrested three of the accused, Sakib Hossain, Sayeed Ahmed and Shahadat Hossain, said Mezbah Uddin, officer-in-charge of the police station.
He said law enforcers were looking for Salman and his father MA Rashid, also an accused in the case.
On Saturday (2 August), Sayeed Ahmed, on behalf of Flight Expert employees, lodged a general diary (GD) with the police station mentioning that Flight Expert MD Salman had informed the company employees in a WhatsApp group that he had left the country.
The customers' transactions are now at risk, and some of them have started threatening the staffers, according to the GD.
On Saturday, many took to social media expressing outrage and concern after finding that the Flight Expert website had become inaccessible.
