Four commissioners of the Election Commission (EC) and officials are holding a meeting to finalise the roadmap for the 13th national parliamentary elections.
The meeting began this afternoon at the Election Building in the capital's Agargaon.
Four Election Commissioners and officials of the EC Secretariat are present in the meeting, EC sources said.
"We've begun the meeting to draw the action plan. Since there are many issues, it may not be possible to complete today. In that case, we may have to wait until Sunday or Monday, Election Commissioner Brig Gen Abul Fazal Md Sanaullah (retd) said.
"Progress of the meeting will be reported to the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC). After that, it will be finalised and announced," he added.
Earlier, on August 18, EC's Senior Secretary Akhtar Ahmed had said that the EC electoral roadmap for the 13th National Parliamentary Elections would be announced this week.
A draft of the action plan has been prepared and placed in the meeting for discussion and taking decisions, EC sources said.
