The Dhaka University metro rail station will remain closed from 5 pm onwards on Monday for events to be held on the campus marking the July uprising.
Dhaka Mass Transit Company Ltd (DMTCL) has announced the decision through a press release on Sunday.
"In line with the decision of a committee formed regarding the 'July Uprising Revival Program 2025' centred around Dhaka University, and as per the proceedings received from the Ministry of Cultural Affairs, it is hereby conveyed for kind awareness and necessary action that the Dhaka University metro rail station will remain closed from 5 pm on July 14," reads the press release.
Metro rail services will remain operational, but trains will not stop at this station during that period.
