An earthquake measuring 4.9 on the Richter scale was felt in Chittagong and other parts of the country on Thursday night.
However, no casualties were reported from the tremor.
The quake's magnitude was measured at 4.9 on the Richter scale at 8:26 pm on Thursday, confirmed the Bangladesh Meteorological Department in a statement.
According to the statement, the origin of the quake was Myanmar.
